Blake Peebles, a Raleigh, North Carolina teenager, has dropped out of school to play Guiar Hero full time. Peebles wants to compte on a professional level for the video game. The teenagers parents have hired a tutor so Black an be home schooled. This will give him more time to practice Guitar Hero.
“We couldn’t take the complaining anymore. He always told me that he thought school was a waste of time,” his mother Hunter told The News & Observer.
Black hopes to compete in championship tournaments that can net winners anywhere from $25,000-$80,000.00 a year in winnings.
