Guitar Hero metal lovers all across the land have some new tracks to rock out with this weekend. Priced at 500 Microsoft Points ($6.25) and featuring master recordings of Deftones’ “Hole in the Earth,” Avenged Sevefold’s “Almost Easy” and Thrice’s “The Arsonist,” the Modern Metal Pack is now available for purchase from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The exclusive metal music packs should be available in the XBOX marketplace later today for your enjoyment.

Finally, new song packs can be downloaded from XBOX Live for Guitar Hero III and one of my favorite bands, No Doubt, seems to be the headliner. Take a look at what’s waiting for you at XBOX Live in the download department for Guitar Hero III:
No Doubt Track Pack

Classic Rock Track Pack

Guitar Hero III Wii got off to a rocky start to say the least. With the non sound and lack of controllers, Wii gamers were up in arms. However, Activision has finally redemmed themselves and the Australian’s have hit the mother load with their version of Guitar Hero 3 Wii. The bundle for the Australian market, which features not only the correct, Dolby Pro Logic II sound output, but also a second guitar controller. No price given just yet, but since the existing one-guitar pack goes for AUD$140, this should come in at just under AUD$200.
